No Broccoli Required’s goal is to help individuals learn about the many facets of nutrition and what it means to live a nutritionally vibrant lifestyle - mentally, physically and emotionally. I believe nutrition is a broad topic and incorporates many more aspects than we normally think of, such as food, sleep, mood and sunshine. We are all unique and know our bodies best. No Broccoli Required is here to honor that and help individuals understand nutrition on a deeper and more meaningful level.

Nutrition has always been a passion of mine. In 2012, I had thirteen feet of my small intestine removed due to a perforation. Through the process I received little nutrition help to get back to a healthy state. For years, I had stomach aches every day - it had become my new normal. I felt trapped and worried that I would always experience terrible stomach pain. However, I was wrong. Through in-depth nutrition analysis, lifestyle modifications and time, I was able to ease my stomach and find peace.

I believe nutrition has to be realistic for everyday life. Food is meant to be enjoyable. I am here to inspire others and show that nutrition doesn’t have to be boring and forced, but rather exciting and delicious. You don’t like broccoli? No problem.

No. Broccoli. Required.

Is a CNS (Certified Nutrition Specialist®) the same as a RD (Registered Dietitian)? A CNS and RD are different. However, the education and experience is very similar. A certified nutrition specialist holds a Masters degree in Nutrition, has passed a rigorous board certified exam and has completed a 1,000 hour supervised practice experience.
