When we eat a variety of fruits, vegetables, grains, proteins, etc. we promote a diversified set of nutrients for our bodies. Fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, grains, fatty fish, fermented foods, prebiotics, fiber-rich foods, etc. provide our bodies with beneficial energy, nutrients, fiber and antioxidants to enhance body function. Not to mention, a diet rich in variety provides significant diversity for our gut microbiome. Research suggests nutrient dense foods have the ability to positively alter gut bacteria, and ultimately strengthen quality of life. However, it is important to remember no two bodies are the same. All bodies are unique and each individual has the power to see the rainbow a different way, unique to them. Go find your rainbow!
