No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares

Peanuts aren’t actually nuts, but rather legumes and cousin of peas, lentils and garbanzo beans. This recipe will keep you full and satisfied thanks to a solid ratio of fat, protein, carbohydrates and fiber.

No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares

Ingredients:

Peanut Butter Squares
  • 3/4 cup oat flour 
  • 1 cup peanut butter 
  • 2 tablespoons date syrup (or maple syrup if you don't have date) 
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup 
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla 
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (if peanut butter isn't salted) 
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 
Chocolate Topping
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder 
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted 
  • 2 tablespoons date syrup (or maple syrup) 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla 

Instructions:

  1. Oil a 8x8 baking pan with coconut oil. 
  2. Mix the oat flour, peanut butter, date syrup, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, vanilla, salt and cinnamon in a bowl.  
  3. Place the mixture into the baking pan and press down evenly. 
  4. In a small bowl, mix the cocoa powder, melted coconut oil, date syrup (or maple syrup) and vanilla. 
  5. Pour the chocolate sauce onto the peanut butter squares and spread evenly. 
  6. Freeze for at least 15 minutes. Slice and serve, or store in the fridge. 
  7. Enjoy!
